Over the past 20 years, Fireside Adventures has been inspired by countless mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and female leaders of every generation into the outdoor spaces of Canada and now the world. From these shared connections grew Artemis: a collective experience created by women, for women, and constantly evolving through collaboration, reflection, and shared adventure.

Artemis isn’t a repackaged retreat or a rebranded travel concept. It’s something organic and deeply human; born from countless fireside conversations, laughter under starlit skies, and the timeless pull for women to reconnect with nature, each other, and themselves. 

Designed for ages 12 to 120 to be intergenerational and rebellious to the status quo. Artemis offers a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for women at every stage of life to say, “Why not?” and rediscover their wild and not-so-wild sides with others.

The Meaning of Artemis

In Greek mythology, Artemis was the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt, and the moon; a protector of women, children, and all living beings that thrive between the forest and the stars. Fierce, independent, and guided by intuition, she represents the freedom to roam, to lead, and to live in harmony with nature’s rhythm. Within Fireside Artemis, she becomes a symbol of modern womanhood: strong yet compassionate, bold yet reflective, rooted in adventure yet drawn to connection. She calls women to embrace courage, curiosity, and community; not as luxuries, but as essential elements of well-being.

Whether you’re paddling in the Yukon, hiking in Patagonia, or sharing stories in Fiji, each journey is an invitation to belong; to the world and to yourself.

  • Suncoast, Fiji: Dive, bike, and connect with island communities. Launching January 2027. 

  • Yukon River, Canada: Experience northern wilderness through river expeditions and campfire storytelling. Launching July 17 - 25, 2026

  • Colombia & Ecuador: Explore mountains, jungles, and women-led eco-projects. Launching January 2027. 

  • Japan: Discover seasonal beauty through skiing, hiking, and cultural immersion. Launching November 2027.

Mother and Daughter Trip: Our trips are created to foster and nurture the relationships that mean the most to us. Through exploring new places, adventure, and supportive guidance, Artemis trips help to bond and unite women in the wilderness. Experiencing challenge, teamwork, and new accomplishments in the wild is an incredible way to create lifelong memories with your family, bringing you closer together while learning alongside one another. 

Solo discovery trip: If you have been wanting to get out of your comfort zone, meet new like-minded people, and experience supported adventure, Artemis is for you. Women have created Artemis trips for women. This is your chance to try something new, challenge yourself, and grow with other women.

Family and Friends Reconnection: Artemis is created to be accessible for all groups. Whether you are a tight-knit crew or want to find a place to reconnect with your people, Artemis has space for that. We understand the importance of finding that precious time to be together, and are cultivating our journeys to have space to reconnect with one another and be together.

Artemis Membership – A Community Beyond Travel

Artemis extends far beyond the trail. Soon, our Artemis Membership will connect women adventurers, educators, and creators worldwide; offering access to mentorship, travel opportunities, community circles, workshops, outdoor skills training, and shared learning spaces.
