Meet your hosts and explore the Suncoast

Our Fijian partners, Hidden Gem and Suncoast Adventures, help families explore the Suncoast region through local food, village visits and outdoor activities. Your hosts bring their experience as guides, educators and community members.

Share meals, practise a few words of Fijian and learn about the places you visit from the people who live there. Time on the water and in the highlands gives the group opportunities to try new skills together.

Experience Level: Best suited for those who believe family time is incredibly important especially when you are immersed in nature, community, and adventure.

Includes:
– Glamping tents, bedding, towels, fans, outdoor private shower, flushing toilets (detached) (see photos)
– Expert guides and guides-in-training while hiking in the highlands, snorkelling, fishing, spearfishing, exploring local islands, market visits
– Cultural activities and experiences in the village
– Paddleboards, kayaks, sports equipment, board games and some additional comforts for accommodation
– Overland transportation to partner’s scheduled adventures
– Most meals. Snacks, soda and sweets are additional purchases

Snorkelling: explore coral reefs and learn about marine life with local guides.

Rakiraki River: kayak or paddleboard past villages, farmland and mangroves.
Highlands: hike in Ra’s highlands and spend time with the communities you visit.
Family exchange: share activities, meals and conversation with local families.
