World Bound Quebec
Move under your own power. Discover a different side of Canada.
A proposed youth adventure connecting cycling, canoeing, Quebec culture and climate leadership.
In development: This first concept is being shaped with our Quebec partners. Dates, ages, duration, route and pricing are still to be confirmed.
Adventure with a sense of place
Imagine travelling by bike through the Laurentians, sharing meals with your crew, and discovering the stories behind the places you visit. World Bound Quebec is taking shape around a simple idea: slow down, take responsibility for the journey, and learn from the people and landscapes around you.
From Montreal cultural discovery to outdoor time around Mont-Tremblant, the proposed experience brings active travel together with opportunities to practise leadership, build friendships and explore life beyond school.
Three threads. One shared journey.
Travel under your own power
Cycling is central to the concept, with local journeys and activity access by bike wherever routes, conditions and group abilities allow. A multi-day canoe journey is also being explored for the longer World Bound course, with the Saguenay region among the possibilities. The route and level of challenge will be developed with local guides.
Meet Quebec through its people
Discover French language, food, community life and different perspectives on Canada. We are exploring opportunities for local educators and community members to share their knowledge, stories and experiences. Conversations with people working in Quebec could also offer perspectives on careers, local industries and the transition into adult life. No speakers or visits are confirmed.
Practise climate leadership
Use everyday decisions about transport, food, waste and shared resources as starting points for climate learning. Young people will be invited to ask questions, take on practical responsibilities and consider what they can carry into their communities and future careers.
What the experience could include
Montreal cultural and food discovery. A shared outdoor base around Mont-Tremblant. Cycling between local experiences. Canoeing and outdoor skills. Group cooking, rotating leadership roles, evening conversations and time to connect.
These are proposed building blocks, not a confirmed itinerary. Activities, accommodation and community sessions depend on partner availability, route planning and course design.
A journey that builds independence
Plan a route together. Help prepare dinner. Look after shared equipment. Listen to a perspective you have not heard before. Learn how to support a teammate when the day gets challenging. The aim is to give young people meaningful responsibilities and room to grow, with support from their educators and guides.
The next chapter is taking shape
We are exploring a World Bound Quebec course of approximately 14–21 days, with about 18 days discussed as one possible format. The final length, age range, departure dates, accommodation, inclusions and price will be announced once the course is ready.

Your Quebec home base
Hôtel UNIQ at Domaine Saint-Bernard is being explored as a shared base for the course. Its furnished accommodation offers a place to rest, connect with the group and prepare for the next day’s experience.
The photographs below show UNIQ’s accommodation interiors and property setting. The course stay, room arrangements and availability remain to be confirmed.

Gallery guide: The first two gallery photographs show Hôtel UNIQ’s furnished accommodation and property setting. The final two show cycling in Stanley Park and canoeing on Sechelt Inlet during Fireside experiences in British Columbia. These activity images illustrate the types of experience being explored for Quebec.
