What makes paddling the Sunshine Coast so special?

For us, the Sechelt Inlet is more than just a beautiful paddling route—it’s a living classroom and a place of deep connection. The ocean here feels calm yet powerful, surrounded by forested mountains that seem to hold the stories of the land. Each paddle stroke brings you closer to understanding the rhythm of nature, the balance between land and sea, and your own place within it.

The Inlet has a way of slowing you down, helping you breathe, reflect, and listen. It’s where adventure meets mindfulness—where families, friends, and young explorers rediscover what it means to feel grounded, capable, and free.

This is the heart of the Sunshine Coast, and it’s waiting to share its lessons with you.

Introducing the Sunshine Coast (BC)

The Sunshine Coast is a place shaped by water, forest, and generations of people who have called this land home. From the traditional and unceded territories of the shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations, to the present-day communities that line its shores, this region holds a living history—one that continues to teach, inspire, and connect.

Sechelt Inlet, our home base for paddling and exploration, is a remarkable saltwater fjord surrounded by steep, forested slopes and dotted with hidden coves and islands. For thousands of years, these protected waters have been a travel route, food source, and gathering place for the Coast Salish peoples.

Today, the Inlet continues to offer what it always has: stillness, discovery, and perspective. As we paddle its calm waters, we are reminded to move slowly, listen deeply, and respect the balance of nature that defines this coast.

It's a Life Changing Experience
