We designed our Yukon Explorer: Winter and Spring Series to be a “grand welcome” into the North and accessible to youth from all around the globe. On this adventure, you’ll build your outdoor, life and social skills while exploring frozen rivers by dogsled, skiing on legendary Mount Sima, glimpsing the Aurora Borealis and warming up by the fire with your new friends.

May–August, 2024 | 13–17 (co-ed) | Whitehorse, Yukon River, Huchá Hudän/Fort Selkirk
Paddle journeys have been happening for thousands of years on Turtle Island and around the world. Guided by the Indian Residential School Survivor Society, facilitated by Fireside Adventures, and supported by SOSBC, this healing journey puts youth into the canoe and guides them along the Yukon’s most powerful river, allowing them to form and strengthen relations with Northern First Nations communities, the land, one another, and themselves.

Summer, 2024 | Ages: 12–14 | Galiano Island, Victoria, Juan De Fuca Provincial Park
A relaxing and fun front-country overnight camp experience for youth who identify as girls, led by an all-female staff. Together we’ll explore Galiano Island, Juan De Fuca Trail and Victoria with a special focus on relationship building, social-emotional well-being, positive personal image and women’s perspectives on leadership.
