Fireside’s Artemis - Women’s Yukon River Expedition
Tentative Trip Plan (subject to change)
During the time on the river, we will have the opportunity to explore places of interest such as: Williams Creek, Minto, Fort Selkirk and Kirkman Landing.
As a group, we will work together to shaping the group intentions and focus while also helping you finalize your own individual plan. Here are some core points of Artemis:
- Create a safe space for women to be themselves, learn and grow
- Connect with people on the land that we are travelling through
- Introduction to leadership skills and adventure
- Outdoor skills (canoe strokes, map reading/orienteering, knots and tarps, fire starting, water purifying, emergency procedures, outdoor cooking, safety and risk management, weather reading, campsite/fire management)
- Visioning/goal setting (your choice)
- Endure challenges (mental, physical) with a positive attitude
- Creating time to provide self care/love
- Add a chapter to each woman’s life
