What to Bring List (14 & 21 day camps)


Miscellaneous

  • Travel documentation (in water proofed bag)
  • Spending money ($200 - $300)
  • Small day backpack/ preferred dry bag (10 to 20 litres) 
  • Large dry bag or backpack (60 - 80 litres) to hold your gear
  • Sleeping bag – minus 5 temperature (compactable and comfortable – covers full body). Advise us if you don't have one
  • Therma-rest to sleep on (compactable) Advise us if you don't have one
  • Head lamp with extra batteries
  • Stuff sacks for clothing and personal items (this will go into your 60L- 80L dry bag or backpack
  • Towels –2 quick dry
  • Sunglasses 
  • Whistle and pocket knife
  • Reading/writing material  
  • Medication in water proof bag (2 of everything is case of damage or loss of medication during trip) 
  • Two 1-litre water bottles
  • Braces (knees, ankles) if required to assist with being mobile

Clothing

  • 1 set of travel clothes for international youth
  • Rain Jacket/Gore-tex Jacket 
  • Warm Jacket/Fleece (quick dry) 
  • 1 pair of hikers or Blundstones/Gumboots
  • Outdoor sandals with back strap/water shoes

  • Long pants (1-2 pair of quick dry)  - no jeans

 Explorer Youth Leadership Camp

BC Explorer Details

Date: July 3rd to 23rd, 2018
Ages: 12 to 15 (Co-ed)

Winter Rate: February 16th to March 31st 2018 $3,599.00 CDN plus 5% tax.
Spring/Summer Rate: April 1st 2018 onwards $3,899.00 CDN plus 5% tax

Deposit: $350.00 (required to secure registration) per registration.

Includes: pre-camp assessment, instruction, food, accommodation, most camping gear, camping fees and transportation while on trip. Does not include flight and some optional activities.

Locations: Whistler, Vancouver, Squamish, North Vancouver, Sunshine Coast, Sechelt Inlet, Gambier Island, and Halkett Bay Provincial Park

Winter Rate: February 16th to March 31st 2018 $2400.00 CDN plus 5% tax.
Spring/Summer Rate: April 1st 2018 onwards $2650.00 CDN plus 5% tax

Includes: instruction, food, accommodation, most camping gear, Whitehorse airport pick-up and drop-off, and canoes during the trip. Does not include flight, fishing license, personal extras, and some optional activities.

Locations: Whitehorse, Takhini Hot Springs, Yukon River and Dawson City
