Date: August 10 to August 20, 2017
Ages: 14 to 17 (Co-ed)
Price: $1,995.00 CDN plus 5% tax. Includes instruction/supervision, food, accommodation, group camping gear, Whitehorse airport pick up and drop off, and canoes during the trip. Does not include fishing licences or flight.
Locations:  Whitehorse, Takhini Hot Springs, Yukon River and Dawson City
Core Recreational Elements: Canoeing, Canadian history, outdoor guiding, orienteering, gold panning, wilderness safety.

  • Half-day practice of paddle strokes
  • Free time in Whitehorse

August 12, 2017 – Carmacks, Yukon River (Five Fingers Section), Sam Magee's Ashes

  • Early departure
  • Practice strokes (again) at Carmacks

  • Lunch on the road (6 hour road trip back to Whitehorse)
  • Set up, clean gear, bracelet ceremony and ice cream in Whitehorse

August 20, 2017 – Homeward Bound

  • Pack up and full day touring in Whitehorse
  • Shuttle to airport
  • Early evening departure to Vancouver International Airport
  • Pick up at Vancouver International Airport
